The Federal Aviation Administration has completed its investigations into Southwest Airlines and found no safety issues. The investigations were launched in July after several close-call incidents, including one in April where a Southwest plane almost hit the ocean in Hawaii. Other incidents included a flight to Phoenix experiencing a “dutch roll,” a flight to Florida that came close to the water before performing a go-around, and a flight over Oklahoma where the plane dropped to 525 feet.
Southwest Airlines responded by stating that they value safety above all else and appreciate the opportunity to work with the FAA on safety measures. The FAA also confirmed that their review did not uncover any significant safety issues.
