The upcoming “Masters of the Universe” movie has added a new cast member. Jared Leto is set to play Skeletor, the iconic villain, in director Travis Knight’s much-anticipated adaptation of the classic animated series. Nicholas Galitzine will face off against Leto’s character in this film.
The film features a lineup of notorious villains alongside Skeletor. Alison Brie has been cast as Evil-Lyn, Skeletor’s right-hand woman. Sam C. Wilson will portray Trap Jaw, known for his powerful bite, while Hafthor Bjornsson takes on the role of Goat Man, a fierce follower of Beast Man. Kojo Attach will play Tri-Klops, the multi-eyed spy who gathers intelligence for Skeletor.
This strong ensemble of antagonists enhances the dark side of Knight’s vision of Eternia. The heroes, led by Riverdale’s Camilla Mendes as Teela and Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, will also play a significant role. As we await the film’s release on June 5, 2026, we’re curious about the unique approach Leto will take in bringing the skull-faced Skeletor to life.
