A Strange Whirlpool is your gateway to Vertigo and the chance to catch a Mythical Isonade. These whirlpools last around 15 minutes, giving you ample time to locate them. Although you’ll get a notification when one appears, finding it as you sail across the ocean is your task!
Vertigo
To access Vertigo through a Strange Whirlpool, leap off your boat directly into the swirling water. You’ll then be teleported to Vertigo! This area features its own Bestiary page, two fishing rods available for purchase, and entry to The Depths.
Isonade
The Isonade is part of the Vertigo Bestiary but can only be fished out from a Strange Whirlpool. It’s the only fish of Mythical rarity on this Bestiary page! Besides its location, it requires Truffle Worm bait.
Other Whirlpools
While traveling to and from Ancient Isle, keep an eye out for whirlpools. Unlike rocks and barrels, whirlpools don’t gradually damage your boat’s HP bar. Instead, they pull your boat to the ocean floor, forcing you to swim or jump back to Ancient Isle to get your boat back.
