Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover has doubled in the last five years, reaching over $52 billion. This was announced by Shahmar Movsumov, who is an Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Economic Issues and Innovative Development Policy at the Presidential Administration. He made this statement at the Customs Business Forum in Baku.
Movsumov emphasized the country’s efforts to enhance the customs and business sectors by implementing new strategies and incorporating modern technologies. By streamlining customs procedures, adopting digital operations, and eliminating administrative barriers, Azerbaijan aims to create a more conducive environment for local and foreign entrepreneurs. These reforms are contributing to the overall strengthening of the economy.
During the past five years, foreign trade volumes have more than doubled, exceeding $52 billion. This growth reflects the success of Azerbaijan’s economic policies and initiatives.
