Congressional leaders have released a temporary spending bill to fund the federal government until March 14. The current funding runs out on Friday, so lawmakers must act quickly. Despite some Republican concerns, leaders are confident the bill will pass.
It is not yet known when a vote will take place on the bill.
The bill also includes funds for natural disaster aid, such as flooding in North Carolina from Hurricane Helene, money to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, and permission to transfer RFK Memorial Stadium from federal to District of Columbia control.
