Exciting news for Black Ops 6 Zombies players! The elemental swords have just received a major boost in power, and more enhancements are coming soon for the Citadelle des Morts Wonder Weapons.
If you’ve been playing the latest Black Ops 6 Zombies map, you might have noticed some changes to the elemental sword Wonder Weapons recently.
On December 11, Treyarch released a patch to fix an issue where the Main Quest boss was taking more melee damage than intended. This was partly due to the overpowered Power Drill melee weapon, which also impacted the elemental swords’ effectiveness. Now, Treyarch is revising part of that update:
Elemental Swords Wonder Weapon Buffs
On December 12, Treyarch announced they are increasing the damage of the elemental swords in Black Ops 6 Zombies. A statement on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) explained that the recent patch had reduced the swords’ effectiveness against the Citadelle des Morts final boss too much.

More Adjustments Are On the Way
There’s more good news—additional improvements to the elemental swords are planned for a future update. Treyarch confirmed, “We also have additional adjustments and improvements planned for the Elemental Sword Wonder Weapons in a future update.”
This is great for the Zombies community, who have been asking for upgrades to the underperforming Wonder Weapons since Season 1 Reloaded was released.
Treyarch hasn’t detailed exactly how the swords will be improved, but we hope they’ll eventually hit multiple enemies at once. Currently, each sword can only target one enemy at a time, which is challenging during higher rounds.
